Summer Camp Instructor
Alternating 40hrs and 27.5hrs weekly (averaging 33.75hrs/week)
11 Week Seasonal Position at $16/hr
Description: Eugene Science Center is seeking reliable, upbeat, and positive individuals as summer camp instructors working with children entering grades 1 – 5. Camp staff will be responsible for groups of campers each week, creating a fun, safe, and inclusive camp experience for each child. Instructors will facilitate indoor and outdoor age-appropriate activities and lead STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programming.
Summer Camp training is currently scheduled for June 17th – 21st and camp sessions are currently scheduled for June 24th – August 30th.

Skills:
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work outside in summer weather for part of each day, walk on museum and park property including hikes, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Education: Must be a high school graduate with additional two years of education or relevant experience. Background in formal or informal education or previous work as a camp counselor or instructor desired.
Background Check: Applicants being considered for this position will undergo a criminal background check.
First Aid and CPR: Instructors must be First Aid and CPR Certified by the start date of camp.
